OMC’s Tax Credit Programs

What are EITC and OSTC?

If you or your business pay Pennsylvania state taxes, you can turn your tax burden into tuition aid for eligible OMC families using the Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credits (OSTC) programs.

Individuals and businesses who make a one-year commitment to give are eligible for a 75% PA tax credit while those who make a two-year commitment can receive a 90% state tax credit.

OMC is proud to partner with the Foundation for Catholic Education (FCE) and Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) to help provide our families with a faith-based education. Both organizations have invested in the education of thousands of children throughout the Philadelphia area and helped provide them a high-quality Catholic education that prepares them to become leaders in their communities.

The deadline to make your donation to the FCE and BLOCS for OMC’s EITC and OSTC programs is December 31, 2024.

Who’s eligible to enroll?

Businesses and individuals that pay the following Pennsylvania taxes are eligible to enroll:

• Personal Income Tax, Sub-chapter S-corporations and other “pass-through” entities will be able to use the credit against the shareholders’, members’, or partners’ PA personal income taxes

• Corporate Net Income Tax

• Malt Beverage Tax

• Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax

• Insurance Premiums Tax (excluding surplus lines, unauthorized, domestic/foreign marine)

• Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax

• Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax

• Retaliatory Fees under Section 212 of the Insurance Company Law of 1921
