As a Catholic school, we educate the whole person, and teach our students to serve and engage in society. Among other things, that means we try to be balanced about technology. We give our students the technical and ethical skills they need to use technology well, but we also teach them when to unplug. We want our graduates to succeed in high school and beyond, and we also want them to engage in face to face conversation, to learn how to quiet the mind and pray, and to look up from the screen. That’s why our school has a policy statement on technology and spirituality, and has recently started publishing Golden Knights Online, our newsletter about technology and making good choices.
