Step 1: Request Information

To request an information packet and/or schedule a visit, you may call (215) 247-1060 or email [email protected] with your family’s information including your name, children’s birthdates, and your contact information (emails, phone number, and your current mailing address).

Step 2: Visit and Observe (Optional)

Visitng is an excellent opportunity to observe OMC in action at our new location in Chestnut Hill College. You will have a chance to meet the Principal Dr. Patricia Sheetz, tour our space, meet the teachers, observe the classrooms, meet other OMC parents, and learn more about the admissions process.

To schedule a visit, call (215) 247-1060 or email [email protected].

Step 3: Submit Your Information Form and Academic Records

Completed applications forms can be requested from [email protected] and mailed to the attention of OMC Parish School at 7 E. Chestnut Hill Ave, Phila., PA 19118.

Copies of your child’s latest report card and standardized test scores are required for students entering Grades 2-8. We cannot proceed in the admissions process without the opportunity to review records. As availability is determined, you will be called to set up a family visit with Dr. Sheetz.

Step 4: Meet with the Principal

Note: Children you may wish to enroll are required to be present at this meeting.

During your meeting with Dr. Sheetz, you will have the opportunity to learn more about our school, ask any further questions, and share ideas on educating your child.

Step 5: Schedule a School Visit for Your Child

While school is in session, you will need to schedule a time for your child to spend a day in classes with us. Your child may spend the day in the grade they are currently in or they may spend half of the day in their current grade and the other half of the day in the grade for which they are applying. For example, if your child will be in kindergarten during the following academic year, they will likely spend the morning in the Pre-K classroom and the afternoon in the Kindergarten classroom.

This process is flexible and is arranged on an individual basis. The goal is twofold: 1) we understand each child’s desire to become familiar with their future school and become acquainted with the learning environment, and 2) our faculty will assess each child’s academic status, get a feel for their social skills, and make recommendations to the Principal.

Step 6: Acceptance

Following the completion of the visit and the return of the signed Handbook form indicating your support of school policies as described therein, you will receive a letter regarding your child’s school admission decision.

If your child has been accepted, all required registration papers will be included in your letter. Upon the return of all requested forms to the school office along with the registration fee, your child’s place in school will be secured.

We cannot finalize acceptance to our school without all relevant records.
